About Us
MBK Dojo is a multi style martial arts school based in Brownhills, Staffordshire. We opened in November 2017 as the Brownhills branch of Black Star Aikido.
In 2026 we named the dojo independently as MBK Dojo.
We offer regular martial arts classes and seminars to children, teenagers and adults including Black Star Aikido, Goshin Jutsu (self defence) and Kudo (Japanese MMA)
Our main focus is self development through martial arts practice whilst we develop good self defence skills.

Andrew Leighton Sensei is the head of the MBK Dojo.
Andrew has many years of experience within the martial arts and currently holds the ranks of 5th Dan Aikido and 4th Dan Goshin Jutsu.
Andrew also holds the Shogo title Renshi and teaching title Shidoin.
Andrew now also leads the Kudo study group for Staffordshire as we add the art of Kudo to the dojo.
Andrew is a registered and fully insured martial arts Instructor with the British martial arts and boxing association.
Andrew is first aid trained and holds various teaching qualifications within the martial arts.
